So, what's next?

SummerAccessoriessssss!
The style is set in concrete now.
It's in stores everywhere, and it's actually prettttttty cool!
(..a lot better than last Summers neon trend...)

It's earthy...
It's animally...
and, it's texture.
Everything is about texture! And, more specifically, faux animal skin. But not the usual types, no no no. This season has finally bought something fresh and new to the table - pastel, and somewhat unusual faux animal skins.
Think; emu & crocodile.

Guess has embraced the trend with open arms.
I got this purse on a recent trip to Melbourne. It boasts an exterior of emu, and an interior of rich cocoa brown crocodile, with some crocodile detailing on the front.

The more generic stores have also taken on this trend, as they restock their shelves for Summer.
The above is a 2012 diary from Forever New, which again features Emu. And, it was only $30. :)

Earthy colours also seem to be the way for this Summer.
Whites, creams, peachy pinks and earthy browns have begun to dominate the shelves of stores.

Not all of the textures are animal skin as such. Along with the diary I mentioned above, I also purchased a new case for my iPad from Forever New. :) It's texture (in the image above) is not an identifiable animal skin, but it is still somewhat animalistic. It also follows the colour style, withe the primary colour being cream, and the pattern highlighted with a rustic gold. :)

Lots of jewellery has also been released, to compliment this trend.
Look out for the browns and rustic golds, coming your way. :)

So, thats my idea.
It seems this Summer, fashion is 'getting back to nature'.
Or, at least, our accessories will be, with faux animal skins, earthy tones. :)
It is also fitting in with this whole new 'I made it myself' type style that seems to be an on going trend. Shapes are uneven, and fabric purposely worn.

I approve! :P

Anubis!

I'm going to get this tattoo soon.
It's for my nana. She passed away last year.
The reason? She got me into Egypt when I was only 2 years old... and it's essentially become my lifeblood.
The reason I chose Anubis as the tattoo is the fact that he is the Egyptian protector of the dead. He can look after her. :)
And it's placed in that spot on my right wrist so I can see it when I'm writing - something she always supported and encouraged.
With every word, with every pulse, with every breath. <3
